Welcome to the Bedel Security Team Tony Bushong!

The Bedel Security Team is excited to welcome our newest vCISO Senior Advisor, Tony Bushong!

Tony is a CISSP who most recently spent 4 years serving as the ISO of a community bank. Prior to his banking experience, he spent several years serving different regulated environments such as healthcare organizations, local governments, and state entities.

When asked about the team's newest member our COO, Stephanie Goetz, had this to say:

"We are excited to add Tony to our team of experienced vCISOs not only because of his variety of experiences but his alignment with our core values.  Tony’s knowledge, experience, and appetite for fostering change make him valuable as a leader in information security.  Welcome to the team, Tony!"

Tony has spent 7 years in managed services getting to know clients and how to best support their specific needs while keeping security at the forefront. Tony believes that IT and Information Security are business enablers and therefore should be integrated throughout the business to support organizational objectives. He strives to influence others to help them produce change and make progress. Tony also finds joy in security product evaluations and performing control and risk assessments; he is certified in the CIS Controls (GCCC) and a member of the Society of Information Risk Analyst (SiRA).

Outside of work, Tony grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois. He currently lives in Western Kentucky with his wife and three kids, but will soon relocate to Northern Tennessee. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, reading, learning various topics, and exercising.
